5/20 When 27 Kilometers Feels Like 67 Kilometers

I didn't figure that today would be one of my hardest days...but it was.  Yesterday afternoon, I walked an extra 2 or 3 kilometers because I wasn't certain which albergue Polly was in.  Couple that with being kicked off the modem when you are almost ready to post the blog...it's now 10 pm and you get to rewrite all of it...all that to say I was bloody tired when I STARTED today!..I did love that sunrise...and this area of Galicia has more cows than humans...so it's very rural and bucolic.

It was a long while before I happened upon an open bar for some coffee.  I also ordered a slice of the lemon cake...which this chestnut-backed chickadee thought I should share.

I passed the 100 kilometer monument today.  This walk has gone by quickly.  I will miss many things...but I feel like I have added a new layer of awareness to my life...and for that I am grateful.  I hope to see things in a light that makes me appreciate the goodness, the benefits, the uniqueness.  I suspect I will have to learn to "notice" first...the man kidding about bringing him a beer, the girl's name, the kindness, before I can say "I see you...you matter."

We are tucked into a little albergue in Gonzar.  The young girl who checked me in is Nadia and I told her it was a beautiful name.
